The engineering cadres of the Nineveh Roads and Bridges Directorate began maintaining the third bridge.
Engineer Asad Fayez said that the Nineveh Roads and Bridges Directorate, in cooperation with the Traffic Directorate, began maintaining the bridge, scraping off the damaged asphalt layer, and covering the bridge’s two paths with a new asphalt layer that includes a resistant polymer material.
The maintenance process comes after widespread appeals from the people of Mosul, due to the bumps and ripples in the two paths of the bridge .
