The “Syrian Armed Opposition” announced yesterday , Saturday, the start of a military operation in the Syrian Hama countryside, two days after launching a strong and surprise attack on the Idlib and Aleppo countrysides .
The Syrian armed opposition said, according to what was published by the Qatari Al Jazeera channel, “We have begun military action in a new axis in the Hama countryside and have taken control of 6 villages .”
She added, “We took control of the strategic city of Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib,” noting “control of the entire administrative borders of Idlib province .”
Today, Saturday, the armed factions in Syria revealed that they succeeded in tightening their control over the entire Idlib Governorate, in addition to nearly 50 villages and towns in Syria, most notably the city of Maarat al-Numan, after the withdrawal of the Syrian army forces from it .
The Syrian army confirmed that it was forced to carry out a redeployment operation in order to prepare for a counterattack on the Aleppo and Idlib fronts after engaging in violent battles there with “terrorist organizations.”
