After the bloody bombings of pagers in Lebanon, which were attributed to Israel, the Iranian authorities issued instructions to ban the use of pagers and wireless devices on all flights .
“Any electronic communication device except mobile phones is prohibited from entering the aircraft cabin, whether accompanied by passengers or unaccompanied cargo,” Jafar Yazarloo, spokesman for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, was quoted as saying by the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) .
This decision comes more than three weeks after the explosion of pagers and communication devices used by members of the Iranian-backed Hezbollah, simultaneously in different areas of Lebanon, on September 17, which led to the killing of at least 39 people .
About three thousand other people were injured, including the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, in this attack, for which Iran and Hezbollah held Israel responsible .
It later became clear that Mossad had planned this unprecedented security breach for years, according to several informed sources.
