Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil stressed the city of Mosul’s need for 300,000 housing units to reduce the worsening housing problem.

Al-Dakhil said on the sidelines of a visit to the headquarters of the Italian company implementing the basic design project for the city of Mosul that the basic design project is the only project capable of reducing the housing problem by allocating new lands to be used in establishing residential projects in addition to investment, industrial and tourism projects. Al-Dakhil pointed out that the basic design will have a clear positive imprint on development and construction in the city of Mosul for the next twenty-five years, stressing that the crises and gaps that Mosul has suffered from are mostly due to the depletion of the old basic design for the city.
