Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil called on the Christian community in Mosul to return to their areas after achieving security and stability there.
This came during Al-Dakhil’s reception of a delegation that included Christian clerics, headed by the Archbishop of Mosul and its dependencies for the Syriac Orthodox, Bishop Nicodemus Daoud Matti Sharaf .
discussed the situation of Christians and supporting their return to the areas of Mosul city, in addition to rehabilitating churches and monasteries. Al-Dakhil stressed the need to establish a cultural center in the city to support the return of Christians and achieve stability and peaceful coexistence among all components.
