The leader of the United Party and the former governor of Nineveh, Atheel Al-Nujaifi, confirmed that the previous session of the Nineveh Council was the worst session among all the sessions. Al-Nujaifi indicated during his participation in the Mosul Talk program, which is broadcast on Mosul Time Radio, that the current differences in the Nineveh Council could be resolved after they began. Council members are taking their role away from their blocs, while new blocs are expected to emerge and form in the Council, especially with the upcoming parliamentary elections approaching.

The former governor of Nineveh, Atheel Al-Nujaifi, held the current presidency of the Nineveh Council responsible for the continued disputes and disruption of work within the provincial council. Al-Nujaifi said that the presidency of the council must work to end the disputes and boycotts and resume the sessions because the continuation of the council’s work is the responsibility of its presidency.
