Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received an official invitation from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud yesterday, Sunday , to participate in an Arab-Islamic summit hosted by Riyadh regarding developments in Gaza and Lebanon and the continuation of Israeli military operations .
According to a statement issued by Al-Sudani’s media office, the invitation was conveyed by the Saudi Ambassador to Baghdad, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari .
The statement added that during the meeting, bilateral relations and ways to develop and advance them in various political and economic fields were discussed, and emphasis was placed on coordinating positions and confronting current challenges, in a way that achieves the benefit of the Iraqi and Saudi peoples.
