Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani discussed With the head of the Progress Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, and the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani, unifying political efforts to support the government in moving forward with its service and economic files, and enhancing its work in completing the implementation of its program and its basic objectives, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the Iraqi people .
During his meeting with Halbousi, Al-Sudani stressed This meeting comes within the framework of communication with various political forces represented in the House of Representatives, the government and the provincial councils, out of the government’s keenness to maintain consultation with political forces to support the state’s path, implement national strategic visions, and achieve sustainable development in various sectors .
For his part, Al-Halbousi stressed the support of the Progress Party for the government and its path in implementing its comprehensive development program and plans, and the important reforms resulting from them that contribute to developing and strengthening state institutions .
The two sides stressed the importance of continuing to implement the political agreement paper included in the government’s ministerial program. The meeting also touched on government measures regarding the file of compensation for families affected by terrorist operations, as well as the rights of martyrs and the wounded, and the progress achieved by the government in addressing the file of displaced persons .
After that, the Prime Minister discussed with Talabani the common visions on all national files and issues, and the necessity of supporting dialogues between the national forces in the Kurdistan Region, to form the regional government, after the success of organizing the parliamentary elections last October, and in order to enhance cooperation and coordination between the federal government and the new regional government on various security, political and development issues.
