The second day of the Iraqi Clubs Athletics Championship, third round, hosted by the Franso Hariri Stadium track in Erbil, witnessed the breaking of 3 new Iraqi records .
The media coordinator of the Athletics Federation, Mitham Al-Hasani, said, “The first record was achieved by the runner Hussein Ali Nahi, a player for Al-Hashd Club, in the men’s category in the (100)m race, where he covered the distance in a time of (28.10) seconds, breaking the previous record of (31.10) seconds .”
He added, “The second number was achieved by player Zain Sardar, a player from the Nineveh Girls Club, in the weightlifting race for the youth category, as her new number reached (10.81) m, while the previous number was (10.91) m .”
He explained that “the third record was achieved by player Zainab Abdul Muhammad, a player from the North Oil Club, in the discus throw event for the junior category, and the distance reached (36.5) m, copying the previous record of (36.40) m .”
