The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced, on Wednesday, that 18 Iraqi universities participated in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 .
The ministry said in a statement that “The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject has announced the results of its 2025 edition of the academic disciplines .”
He added that “the universities of Baghdad, Anbar, Al-Nahrain, Middle Technical, Diyala, Technological, Al-Mustansiriya, Babylon, Basra, Mosul, Al-Qadisiyah, Wasit, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical, Northern Technical, Tikrit, Karbala, Dhi Qar and Al-Muthanna achieved positive ranks distributed among the following specializations :
▪️ Arts and Humanities
▪️ Computer Science
▪️ Education Studies
▪️ Engineering
▪️ Life Sciences
▪️ Medical and Health
▪️ Physical Sciences
▪️ Social Sciences”.
He added that “international universities competed in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 ( https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/by-subject ) according to eighteen indicators within the criteria of teaching, research environment, research quality, industry income, and international outlook.”
