The technical deputy of the governor of Nineveh, Omar Namiq al-Mawla, confirmed yesterday , Friday, that an expanded meeting was held to discuss removing obstacles from the lands nominated for expansion in Nineveh.
Al-Mawla said, “An expanded meeting was held in the presence of the Chairman of the New Cities Implementation Authority, Hamid Abdul Hamad, and the committee formed from various government sectors to decide on the issue of new cities and nominate the lands needed for expansion and remove obstacles to them .”
Al-Mawla stressed that “new cities have become an urgent necessity to expand the city, reduce population congestion, and support the development movement in the governorate.”
