It was announced in the city of Mosul, today, Friday, that the doors of the heritage (Al-Tutonji Palace) will be opened to visitors from all over the governorate. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities said in invitation cards distributed in Mosul about opening the doors of Al-Tutanji Palace to receive visitors from Mosul and other Iraqi provinces. The Ministry invited people to enjoy viewing the architectural designs of this heritage palace, which dates back to 1817 AD. It was reconstructed by the French organization Alif and the University of Pennsylvania, under the supervision of the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage The Tutunji House was opened last Thursday in the presence of an official and diplomatic presence after it was reconstructed as a result of its damage during the battles. The date of construction of this house, which is attached to one of the walls, is 1232 AH, corresponding to the year 1817 AD.

It is worth noting that the heritage house of Al-Tutanji was named after its owner, Hajj Mustafa Agha bin Muhammad Al-Tutanji, who died in 1902. He bought it from the Ottoman governor and later transferred ownership of the antiquities by purchasing it from its owners in 1979. The building of the house, which has an area of ​​600 square meters, dates back to its construction. It consists of three sections dating back to the year 1232 AH, which was vandalized by ISIS in 2017.
