Secretary-General of the Arab Islamic Council in Lebanon, Muhammad Ali al-Husseini, who predicted the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah and Yahya Sinwar, warned of the return of war in Lebanon in a stronger and more ferocious way than before .
Al-Husseini said in a post on his account on the “X” platform: “The current situation in southern Lebanon does not bode well. On the contrary, there are many indications that the war will return stronger and fiercer .”
He pointed out that the reason for this is “Hezbollah’s firing of its missiles in the Shebaa Farms, which means that it is still present in its main positions and retains its missiles, and this is a violation of the ceasefire agreement .”
He added: “Attempts to transfer weapons from Syria are continuing, as well as being targeted by the Israeli army. The war has not yet achieved its goals, so we do not rule out that it will flare up again at any moment and continue until the end, and this is what will happen. We hear and see .”
It is noteworthy that a few days before the assassination of the late Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Al-Husseini sent a message in which he said: “I say to Nasrallah – gather your forces, make your pledge and write your will, because whoever participated sold you out, you have become the number one target today, so write your will and today we are talking seriously, it is not a threat, we will wait and see .”
In addition, earlier this week, Al-Husseini published a message in which he hinted that he would soon reveal who betrayed Nasrallah and led to his assassination .
It is worth noting that the declared truce between Israel and Hezbollah has been clearly faltering recently, following the ongoing raids carried out by Israeli aircraft on towns and villages in southern Lebanon, under the pretext of a threat .
For the first time since the middle of last week, Hezbollah issued a military statement confirming that “in response to the repeated Israeli violations of the cessation of hostilities agreement announced to come into effect at dawn on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, which take various forms, including firing on civilians and airstrikes in various parts of Lebanon, which led to the martyrdom of citizens and the injury of others, in addition to the continued violation of Lebanese airspace by hostile Israeli aircraft, reaching the capital Beirut, and since the reviews of the relevant authorities to stop these violations did not succeed, an initial warning defensive response was carried out on Monday evening against the Israeli army .”
The party indicated that it targeted the Israeli army’s Ruwaysat al-Alam site in the Lebanese Kfar Shuba hills, and concluded its statement by saying, “He who warns is excused .”
Washington issued an official warning to Israel through its envoy, Amos Hochstein, against the backdrop of its violation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon since it came into effect in the middle of last week .
The American warning to Israel came after another warning from France, which is supervising the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, and is pressuring the Lebanese army to deploy as quickly as possible and delay the return of the displaced to their homes near the border .
France warned Israel on Sunday of the collapse of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, after it violated it 52 times within 24 hours. France indicated that Israel’s violations did not pass through the ceasefire supervision committee, according to “Ynet”.
