Former Nineveh Governor Atheel al-Nujaifi warned of the dangers to Iraq as a result of Iran resorting to using the Kurdistan Workers’ Party card in Syria.
Al-Nujaifi said that the PKK remained the last card that Iran plays to restore chaos in Syria .
He added, “I hope that the Iraqis realize the danger of following the Iranian project… The border area with Iraq is the field of that card… and any Iranian attempt means the spread of its fire inside Iraqi territory .”
He stressed that if dreamers think they are able to direct the fires, then wise people realize that fires quickly get out of control.
