The Popular Mobilization Authority reported yesterday , Monday, that an explosion targeted a number of members of the Authority’s Media Directorate in western Nineveh Governorate .
The Authority indicated in a statement that “four members of the Media Directorate were injured as a result of an explosive device exploding in the western Nineveh sector while they were participating in covering the “Muhammad, the Messenger of God” operations, and they were evacuated to Al-Qayyarah Hospital to receive the necessary treatment .”
The members were accompanied by units of the 25th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the 21st Brigade of the Iraqi Army, where they were performing their duty to cover the military operation, according to the statement .
The Authority confirmed that “the condition of the injured members is currently stable, while the rest of the media teams continue to perform their duties in the three axes of the military operation.”
