The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities announced A lawsuit to invest in the Nineveh Oberoi Hotel in her favor .
The ministry said in a statement: “Under the supervision of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and the follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, we announce the issuance of the judicial decision in the Nineveh Oberoi Hotel lawsuit from the Karkh Commercial Court, which was previously issued in favor of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities – Tourism Authority in absentia several months ago .”
She added, “The decision was objected to by the investing company, as the company appealed the decision, and it was returned to the Commercial Court of First Instance. After several court sessions and the submission of solid legal arguments related to the subject of the lawsuit and direct follow-up by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, the decision was issued by the court in favor of the Ministry’s Tourism Authority on September 11, 2024, including the termination of the contract with the investing company and the rejection of the objecting company’s lawsuit, and awaiting the passage of the legal period of 15 days, for the decision to become final.”
