A member of the Nineveh Provincial Council revealed, on Tuesday, the reasons for stopping the disbursement of financial grants to returning displaced persons in the province and throughout Iraq .
Mahmoud Al-Khalaf said that the disbursement of financial grants for displaced persons returning inside Iraq has stopped recently .
He attributed this to the government’s focus on disbursing the dues of the displaced Yazidi community returning, in order to facilitate their return to Sinjar district .
Al-Khalaf confirmed that the Minister of Migration pledged to release the financial amounts and grants for the returning displaced persons in the coming few weeks, once the dues of the Sinjar displaced persons are processed.
