The Electoral Commission revealed the mechanism for determining the date for the upcoming legislative elections, while stressing that the date for the legislative elections must be determined 45 days before the end of the parliamentary session.

“The election date will be determined by the Prime Minister’s Office in coordination with the Elections Commission, provided that this date does not precede the end of the current parliamentary session by a period of no less than 45 days from the first session held by Parliament,” said Jumana Al-Ghalay, the Commission’s spokeswoman. She added that the elections cannot be held less than 45 days before the end of the current session, i.e. before November 25, 2025, and that it will be determined between the Prime Minister’s Office and the Elections Commission.
