The French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Durel, announced an increase in the granting of visas to Iraqis to enhance the deepening of relations between Baghdad and Paris .

Dorrell said in a press conference that “the French embassy in Iraq has identified 3 Iraqi governorates to grant Schengen visas to Iraqis exclusively through the (TLs) company , which are the governorates of Baghdad, Erbil and Nineveh .”

He added that “the embassy will continue working with the company to increase the granting of visas to Iraqis in order to enhance the deepening of relations between Baghdad and Paris,” calling on “Iraqis wishing to travel to France to submit a visa application by visiting the company’s website to book according to the procedures and controls in which the French embassy operates .”

In turn, the Director of the Iraqi Offices for French Visas, Yazan Talat Shafiq, said, “The citizen can book through the company’s website, and there is also an electronic prepayment service via electronic cards to ensure availability of appointments and transparency. The citizen can enjoy filling out the form within the TLS company and enjoy other services such as taking photos within the Schengen countries’ standards. We have a special hall where the citizen can freely submit his papers and enjoy full hospitality within this special hall, as well as a passport delivery service to the required address. These are the procedures for French visas in general, and after that we send the documents to the French consulate to make a decision.”
