An Israeli raid on Beirut on Sunday led to the death of Hezbollah’s media relations official, Mohammed Afif .
Lebanese security sources reported that the raid took place in the Ras al-Nabaa area, targeting an apartment that houses the Baath Party office in Beirut .
According to information, Afif has been in charge of Hezbollah’s media since 2014, and worked as head of news and political programs on the party’s Al-Manar channel. He was close to Nasrallah and his media advisor .
In turn, the Baath Party office in Lebanon (banned in Iraq) said, in a statement published by Lebanese media, that “the raid targeted the party’s leadership building in Ras al-Nabaa,” explaining that “the party’s Secretary-General, Ali Hijazi, was not present in the building.”
