The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of two accused of smuggling petroleum products and the seizure of their vehicles in the governorates of Nineveh and Holy Karbala .
The Ministry stated in a statement that “the detachments of the First Brigade and the Sixth Brigade of the Energy Police arrested two accused of smuggling petroleum products and seized their vehicles in the Nineveh and Karbala governorates due to violations. They were placed under arrest and the vehicles were seized to complete the investigative procedures in accordance with Law No. 41 of 2008 regarding combating the smuggling of oil and its derivatives. ” .
