The head of the Iraqi Sovereignty Alliance, Khamis Al-Khanjar, met with the leaders of the Sovereignty Alliance in Nineveh Governorate.

This came during Al-Khanjar’s visit to the city of Mosul to discuss the Mosul file, the performance of the local government, and preparations for the next stage.
During his meeting with members of his alliance, Al-Khanjar stressed the importance of preserving Nineveh’s identity; ending all forms of marginalization and exclusion that have harmed the governorate and its people, and not being lenient in the face of attempts to undermine the historical identity of the city, in order to preserve the social fabric with its various sects and nationalities.

The members of the Sovereignty Alliance also discussed the file of communicating with the party’s masses in the various districts and sub-districts of the governorate; where the head of the Sovereignty Alliance stressed the importance of choosing competent figures who enjoy regional and tribal acceptance in preparation for the upcoming elections.
The leaders, representatives, and members of the Nineveh Provincial Council who attended announced their adherence to the Sovereignty Alliance and their solidarity with its principles for the sake of Mosul, its history, and its future.
Al-Khanjar’s visit comes the day after what happened in the Kirkuk Governorate session that led to the selection of Ribwar Taha as Kirkuk Governor, and the statements of Khaled Al-Mufarji in which he confirmed that there was an agreement with the other political blocs to provide sovereignty concessions in Nineveh Governorate in exchange for obtaining political gains and positions in the local government of Kirkuk Governorate.
