Kirkuk Provincial Council member Ahmed Abdul Wahid Al-Hamdani reported yesterday , Friday, that a young man from Al-Hawija was kidnapped and tortured by unknown persons in the center of the province, calling on the security authorities to investigate the incident .
Al-Hamdani narrated the details of the incident, saying, “An unknown group kidnapped and tortured the young man (Yasser Suhail Al-Abadi) from the people of Al-Hawija district in front of people in a garage opposite Kirkuk General Hospital in Ras Al-Jisr Market,” considering it “a dangerous matter, and an investigation must be opened into it to find out the party involved in it .”
He added, “This incident threatens community security in the city, so we demand that the security authorities, the administration and the provincial council play their role in uncovering the circumstances .”
The local police in Hawija did not comment on the incident.
