The Federal Court rejected the lawsuit filed requesting a ruling to cancel the Council of Ministers’ decision to close camps and the voluntary return of displaced persons, and to close the representations of the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The court said in a brief statement that this lawsuit was decided by dismissal due to the lack of the necessary interest condition for filing it.
On February 14, the Iraqi Federal Ministry of Education decided to close its representations in the governorates of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Dohuk, and said that this comes within the framework of implementing the decision of the Federal Council of Ministers to close camps for the displaced.

The camps include those located in the Khazir and Hassan Sham regions, which are administratively affiliated with Nineveh Governorate and under the control of the Kurdistan Region. The decision will include the closure of representations affiliated with the Ministry of Education, as many Nineveh education employees work in the Kurdistan Region in the Ministry of Education’s representation.
