Yesterday , the Integrity Commission announced the arrest of two suspects for trespassing on state-owned lands in Nineveh Governorate .

The statement of the authority stated: “The arrest operation, which was carried out in cooperation, coordination and under the supervision of the competent investigating judge, revealed that a team of investigators from the Commission in the Nineveh Investigation Directorate arrested two suspects for trespassing on state-owned lands and installing bridge scales without official approvals .”

He pointed out that “the accused who placed the scales on the lands belonging to the Mosul Municipality Directorate in the vegetable and fruit market on the right side of Mosul city were arrested without obtaining the necessary approvals .”

He explained that “a formal seizure report was prepared for the operation that was carried out, in accordance with the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code, and the accused were presented before the competent investigative court judge; for the purpose of taking appropriate legal measures and deciding the fate of the accused.”
