Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari ordered the transfer of officers, ranks and civilian employees from agency and command headquarters to combat departments to fill the shortage there .

A document issued by the minister’s office stated that “Al-Shammari directed the formation of a committee headed by and comprising 7 officers with the rank of brigadier general, whose mission is to reduce human resources of officers, ranks and civilian employees working in the headquarters of agencies, commands and directorates by 25% to fill the shortage in combat and investigative departments .”

According to the document, the minister stressed that the committee should complete its tasks within 15 days .

In this context, a source in the Ministry of Interior explained that the transfer includes some civilian employees to strengthen the administrative cadres in the service departments of the ministry .
