The Federal Integrity Commission announced yesterday the extradition of one of those convicted of corruption cases from the Arab Republic of Egypt, indicating that it had received the fugitive convict who had committed violations of his job duties during his work at the Diyala Governorate Diwan .
The Commission stated in a statement today that it was able to extradite the convict (Qasim Laith Rashid), who is wanted by the Iraqi judiciary and the Integrity Commission from the relevant authorities in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as the Commission had previously organized an extradition file against him in accordance with Article (331) of the Penal Code .
She pointed out that she had sent the bulletins and arrest warrants issued against the convict to the Public Prosecution Office, which in turn sent them to the Arab and International Police Directorate, which issued a (red notice and search radio) against him, where he was arrested in Egyptian territory. He was handed over to the party requesting him (the Iraqi authorities), noting the high level of cooperation and coordination with the Arab and International Police Directorate in the Ministry of Interior.
