A responsible source in the Iraqi Resistance Coordination revealed yesterday , Wednesday, that there is a consensus within the coordination to continue attacks against Israel during the next stage, even after the ceasefire in Lebanon .

The source said “The leaders of the Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee held an important meeting and agreed during the meeting to continue attacks via drones and developed missiles against Israel during the next stage, even after the ceasefire in Lebanon .”

The source added, “The agreement to continue the operations was made through an agreement between the Al-Nujaba Movement, the Hezbollah Brigades, the Sayyed Al-Shuhada Brigades, and the Ansar Allah Al-Awfiya Movement, which are part of what is known as the (Islamic Resistance in Iraq), which confirmed the continuation of the operations until the Israeli aggression on Gaza is completely stopped. Otherwise, the operations will continue, and they will not care about any Israeli threat .”

Earlier today, the “Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq”, one of the most prominent factions that, within the framework of the Iraqi resistance, adopts its attacks on Israel, announced the continuation of “Operations to Support Gaza” despite the ceasefire in Lebanon that was announced yesterday by US President Joe Biden .

This comes at a time when the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, confirmed that Iraqi forces are “on high alert” and ready to defend the country’s sovereignty in the face of any external threat .

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry had previously announced, in a statement, that it had sent official letters to the Security Council, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, “in response to Israel’s threats to attack Iraq .”

These threats came officially through Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, who sent a letter to the President of the UN Security Council, urging immediate action to confront the activities of armed groups loyal to Iran in Iraq.
