The Iraqi government decided yesterday , Tuesday, to send medical teams to Lebanon after the “Bager” bombing incident, calling for urgent international intervention .

The official spokesman for the Iraqi government, Bassem Al-Awadi, said in a statement that “the Iraqi government is following the dangerous security developments taking place in Lebanon, and the Zionist cyber attack that led to the martyrdom and injury of a large number of civilians .”

He added, “These events, along with the other ongoing threats and attacks committed by the occupying entity, and the threat to launch a large-scale war on Lebanon, are matters that require urgent international intervention; in order to prevent the situation from slipping into expanding the circle of war that has targeted, for months, the people of the Gaza Strip, as well as civilians in the West Bank and southern Lebanon, and caused them tragedies, without deterring the occupation army from implementing its plans to expand and occupy more lands .”

Al-Awadi pointed out that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed the dispatch of Iraqi medical crews and emergency teams to brotherly Lebanon, to provide urgent assistance as quickly as possible, to alleviate the pain of the injured innocent civilians.”
