A security source in Nineveh Governorate reported that an intelligence force arrested the director of a department within the Mosul municipality on charges of extortion .
The source said “A force from Nineveh’s Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Department arrested the Director of Violations in Mosul Municipality, on the grounds of blackmailing a citizen for a sum of money .”
The source explained that “the blackmail was aimed at allowing the citizen to build and ignoring him, because he was building on a small piece of land owned by the state.”
