The Iraqi Communications and Media Commission issued A decision to prevent satellite channels from hosting political analyst Ghaith Al-Tamimi, due to his declaration of support for Israel .
The Authority stated in a statement that “in view of what was monitored in the media about Ghaith Abdul Jabbar Abdullah Al-Tamimi presenting content in the media that violates the regulations of media broadcasting .”
The Commission identified the rules that were violated, which are “preventing incitement to violence and hatred, and accuracy, integrity and transparency in transmitting information,” noting that Al-Tamimi also violated Law Criminalizing Normalization with the Zionist Entity No. 1 of 2022, by “promoting the Zionist entity and supporting and encouraging its policies and actions .”
The Commission decided to “prevent Al-Tamimi from appearing for only 3 months from the date of publication of this book, and the media will bear all legal consequences arising in the event of hosting him.”
