In return, Hezbollah announced launching an attack with a squadron of suicide drones on the Samson base, targeting the locations of its officers and soldiers.
Israeli reports suggested that the commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ismail Qaani, was injured in the Israeli strike that targeted the successor to Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hashem Safieddine, in the southern suburb of Beirut.
Hebrew media reported that an investigation is underway into the possibility that Esmail Qaani was injured in an Israeli bombing in Beirut.
It reported that Qaani supervises armed groups and agents for Iran in the region, noting that he may have been injured in an airstrike in southern Beirut, in the same attack that targeted Hashem Safieddine, Nasrallah’s supposed successor.
