Director of Nineveh Roads and Bridges, Radwan Al-Shahwani, said that the project to construct a second corridor for the Mosul- Qayyarah road will enter service soon after its completion rate has reached advanced stages.
Al-Shahwani added that the second corridor of the road linking the city of Mosul and the Qayyarah district , with a length of 8.2 kilometers, has reached advanced stages, with a completion rate of 98%.
Al-Shahwani explained that the project is one of the Nineveh Governorate’s projects for the food security plan, as the implementing company is now working on the final touches to the road.
The second lane of the road linking Mosul and Qayyarah is of great importance, especially as it will reduce traffic accidents on the road after it was only one lane .
