The Popular Mobilization Authority announced the implementation of a joint security operation with a force from the Iraqi army south of Mosul to maintain the continuity of security stability in Nineveh Governorate .
The authority said in a statement: “A force from the 58th Brigade Intelligence and the Brigade’s Commando Regiment, within the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Army, carried out a security operation south of the city of Mosul .”
She added, “The operation included searching the village of Shiala al-Imam and all the villages adjacent to it in the south of Mosul city, with the aim of securing it and ensuring that it is free of the remnants of the terrorist ISIS,” noting that “these operations come to maintain the continuity of the security stability that all areas of Nineveh are experiencing.”
