The Military Intelligence Directorate announced the overthrow of three terrorist elements holding important positions in the remnants of the ISIS gangs in Nineveh Governorate .
The Directorate said in a statement that “based on accurate intelligence information from the Intelligence Division of the 16th Division, the Military Intelligence Directorate, in cooperation with the security forces holding the ground, carried out several qualitative operations, which resulted in the arrest of 3 terrorists wanted by the Iraqi judiciary according to the provisions of Article 4 / Terrorism in the districts of Hammam al-Alil and Wana in Nineveh Governorate, who hold important positions in the terrorist ISIS gangs, including the so-called commander of a detachment, the main and administrative carrier, and the latter as a fighter in the ranks of the gangs .”
She added, “All detainees participated in many terrorist attacks against Iraqi security forces in the past,” indicating that “they were handed over to the requesting parties in the field and in principle.”
