Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari confirmed yesterday , Sunday, that the borders with Syria are completely secure and there is no attempt to breach them .
Al-Shammari said, “Large units of the army are supporting the border forces on the border strip with Syria .”
He added, “The borders with Syria are completely secure and there is no attempt to penetrate them,” stressing that “the morale of the members is very high on the Iraqi-Syrian borders .”
Yesterday, Sunday , the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived in Nineveh Governorate .
The ministry said in a statement that “Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari and his accompanying delegation arrived in Nineveh Governorate in the Seventh Border Brigade sector in the Sixth Region within the Iraqi-Syrian border strip, specifically in the Tarifi area, coming from Anbar Governorate.”
