Regarding the airport’s opening date, Al-Saadawi confirmed that The opening of Mosul International Airport early next year , stressing that he chaired a meeting to discuss the latest developments in work and construction at Mosul International Airport, noting that “the meeting was attended by the Governor of Nineveh and a number of officials from the Ministry, the Governorate and the implementing company .”
He pointed out that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani is closely following up on the construction work of Mosul International Airport and the rates of completion,” indicating that “construction work at the airport has reached 86 % With navigational equipment and devices arriving soon .”
The Minister of Transport confirmed that “early next year 2025 will witness the opening of Mosul International Airport in Nineveh Governorate.”
