Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, announced yesterday , Saturday, the opening of new projects in Nineveh Governorate .
The Minister of Transport said in a statement, “We were honored today to visit Nineveh Governorate for the purpose of opening several projects in the field of transportation sector, including the passenger station in Nineveh Governorate in its northern and southern parts .”
He continued, “Also, the opening of the Qayyarah garage, in addition to activating public transportation lines via red buses in Nineveh Governorate, after more than 80 lines were opened throughout Iraq for public transportation .”
The Minister of Transport stressed that “the ministry is continuing to develop public transport in all its fields, whether inside or outside Nineveh Governorate,” noting that “the beginning of next year will witness the opening of Mosul International Airport .”
He added, “Nineveh is one of the most important governorates in the path of the development road project, as it covers a large distance within this governorate. Therefore, there will be large stations for trade exchange and transporting passengers, in addition to investment projects on both sides of the road, which provides great opportunities for the unemployed .”
The statement explained that “the Minister of Transport and his accompanying delegation followed up on the progress of work at Mosul International Airport, which has reached advanced completion rates of 86% within the plan according to international specifications and standards.”
