The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, issued a ministerial order prohibiting the entry of smart phones into duty stations by officers (majors and down) to members .
A document issued by Al-Shammari showed This procedure came “based on the authority granted to the Minister under the provisions of Article 4 of the Ministry of Interior Law, and for the requirements of the public interest, taking into account professional controls, sincerity in performing duty, and security necessities .”
According to the document, any officer or member who violates the ministerial order will be subject to a 30-day detention penalty within his department, and if he repeats it, he will be referred to the Internal Security Forces Court. As for any civilian employee in the Ministry of Interior who violates the order, he will be subject to legal liability.
