A local official in the northern Nineveh province reported yesterday, Friday, that the Zilkan base, where Turkish forces are present, was subjected to missile shelling .
Muhammad Amin, the director of Zilkan district, said that two missiles targeted the camp, but they fell in the vicinity of the village of Kokdi without recording any human casualties .
He added that the attack did not result in any significant material damage, noting that the concerned authorities have begun an investigation to determine the source of the bombing and the party responsible for it.
