Yesterday , Tuesday, the president of Mosul Club, Raed Al-Obaidi, revealed the club’s football team’s preparations to participate in the Premier League, confirming that the Federation had conducted an inspection of the Simil Stadium as an alternative ground for Mosul and approved it .
Al-Obaidi said, “Mosul Club has completed its preparations to participate in the Iraqi Premier League for football for the current season .”
Al-Obaidi explained that “Mosul’s first match in the league will be against Al-Nasiriyah on the twentieth of this October, if there is no postponement of the date due to the procedures of the region and preparation for the elections, because the match will be held at the Hendren Stadium in Erbil as the supposed land of Al-Nasiriyah Club .”
Al-Obaidi explained that “the stadiums inspection committee in the Iraqi Central Federation agreed that the Simel stadium in Dohuk Governorate would be an alternative stadium and a supposed land for Mosul due to the incomplete stadiums in Mosul,” indicating that “the committee confirmed some minor deficiencies in the Simel stadium and will work to complete them, but it initially approved the stadium.”
