The Mosul-based Muthabiron Foundation for Charity, Environment and Development received an international award yesterday , Friday, in the Russian capital, Moscow .
The head of the foundation, Mosul activist Muhammad Lazem Al-Adwani, said, “Iraq was able, through the (Muthaberon) Foundation for Charity for Environment and Development, to obtain the We Are Together International Award for the year 2024 in Moscow, with the participation of more than 4,000 candidates representing 142 countries, attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin .”
He added, “The ceremony was held in the Kremlin. I was one of the winners in the environmental field, and this award is considered the Oscar in Russia .”
Al-Adwani, who received the award, continued, “We applied for the award two years ago in five stages.”
