Deputy Speaker of the Nineveh Council, Muhammad al-Jubouri, held members of the Nineveh Unified Bloc and members of the Kurdistan Democratic Bloc responsible for disrupting the Council’s sessions, while calling on them to end the boycott of the Council’s sessions .

Al-Jubouri said in a press conference that the disruption of the sessions due to the boycott negatively affected the Council’s work, because many decisions require an absolute majority vote, meaning no less than 16 members, which the Nineveh Future Bloc is unable to achieve on its own.

The Vice-President of the Nineveh Council, Muhammad al-Jubouri, stressed his readiness to relinquish the position of Vice-President of the Council if the Nineveh Unified Bloc committed itself not to disrupt the sessions, attendance, and conduct of the Council’s work, as he put it.
