The National Security Agency announced On the overthrow of (4) terrorists in coordination with the Asayish , the apparatus stated in a statement that “the joint security coordination between the Counter-Terrorism Cell in our apparatus and the General Directorate of Operations of the Asayish Service of the Kurdistan Region resulted in the arrest of (4) terrorists wanted in accordance with the provisions of Article Four of the Anti-Terrorism Law .”
He added that “the investigations revealed that the terrorist elements were moving around with forged identification documents to facilitate their movements and avoid security surveillance,” indicating that “two of them worked in what is known as the “Military Development and Industrialization Authority” affiliated with the terrorist ISIS gangs in what was called Anbar Province, where they worked as technicians specialized in manufacturing Katyusha rockets that were used to target our security forces during the liberation battles .”
He added that “the other accused were found to belong to what was called the Nineveh and Tigris provinces, where they participated in direct terrorist attacks against security forces and innocent citizens,” noting that “the accused were referred to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary measures against them so that they receive their just punishment according to the law.”
