Yesterday , Wednesday, the Nineveh Staff Settlement Committee held a meeting to discuss the issue of school staff settlement and interventions in the governorate’s Education Directorate .
Nineveh Council member Hisham Al-Hashemi said: “The Staff Settlement Committee, which includes members of the provincial council, met and discussed the issue of school staff and political interference in the appointment of officials in the Education Directorate, and interference in the file of school staff and their transfer, which negatively affected the educational process in the province .”
Earlier, a source in Nineveh Education revealed political interference in Nineveh Education by some influential parties, and he explained that these interferences resulted in changing school staff, which caused schools in some areas to be empty of teachers and instructors .
Last week, residents of the Badoush area, northwest of Mosul, organized a demonstration to protest the lack of teaching staff in their area’s schools, while they appealed to the Nineveh Governor and the Minister of Education to put an end to the interference of political parties in manipulating the school staff file.
