A security source in Nineveh reported yesterday , Wednesday, that a middle school student committed suicide by hanging himself west of Mosul, after arriving late to school to take an exam .
The source said, “A second-year middle school student committed suicide by hanging himself after his school administration refused to let him into school because he was late for an exam in the village of Tal Zalat (west of Mosul) .”
The source explained that “the student was born in 2010 and when he arrived late to his school in the village during the mid-year exams, the administration refused to let him in,” indicating that “immediately upon his return home, he went to the top room in the house, known as the ‘pitona’, and hanged himself,” adding that “the police transferred the body to the forensic medicine department to complete the legal procedures and opened an investigation into the incident to determine its circumstances.”
