Mosul athletes demanded to reveal the fate of 3 billion dinars, which had been allocated by the governorate to officially accredited clubs during the era of previous local governments .
Mosul athletes said “The Council of Ministers had previously directed Nineveh Governorate, during the term of the previous government and the one before it, to disburse an amount of 3 billion Iraqi dinars to the approved clubs, the number of which is 16 clubs officially registered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports .”
The athletes explained that “the amount was also reduced to one and a half billion dinars, on the grounds that the same amount was spent on sports equipment,” demanding “revealing the fate of these amounts and equipment that were spent at the time and knowing the fate of what remains of them .”
