The Minister of Education called for “urgent intervention to end political interference in the work of Nineveh Education,” noting “the importance of ending these interferences, especially in the file of educational staff, which has caused a surplus in some schools, while leaving other schools devoid of teaching staff .”
As part of Nineveh Council’s follow-up of the file of parties and politicians’ interference in settling the staff in the Education Directorate, Provincial Council member Hisham Al-Hashemi pointed out: “There is a surplus in some schools and a vacancy in others due to interference in the staff settlement file .”
He explained that, “During my visit to a number of schools in the city of Mosul, I noticed a surplus in the teaching staff in a number of schools. He stressed the “need to scrutinize and follow up on all those responsible for this file, as it is directly linked to the success and strengthening of the work of the Education Directorate in Nineveh.”
