The head of energy in the Nineveh Council, Ahmed Al-Abd Rabbah, revealed that the authorities in Baghdad are moving towards an additional reduction in the generators’ share of generator fuel during the current month, which may lead to an additional increase in the subscription prices of commercial generators .
Al-Abd Rabbo said that the reason for the increase in generator fees last month is due to the increase in the price of fuel to 160 thousand dinars per barrel, while he explained that the generators’ allocated share is 20 liters per KV .
He pointed out that the Ministry of Oil will reduce this share to ten liters per kilowatt, which means that the prices of subscriptions to generators will double next month, but he confirmed that the Nineveh Council will move with the local government to pressure Baghdad to increase the share on the one hand and reduce taxes on generators in order to reduce generator wages next month.
