Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil announced the completion of the first phase of the census by 100 %.
Al-Dakhil said in a press conference, “We salute the great efforts made by the Ministry of Planning, represented by the National Center for Statistics, the Nineveh Statistics Department, and the local team in the province in completing the stages of the general population census process for all stages .”
He added, “The governorate has completed the first phase of the census by 100%, thanks to the efforts of its cadres and the Nineveh Statistics Department, and we hope that the second phase will be crowned with success tomorrow,” stressing that “there are many problems and obstacles that faced the work, but they were overcome .”
He continued, “There are more than 10,000 people working in field teams spread throughout the province, whether in the vast desert areas located in the Hatra desert or the areas adjacent to the Kurdistan Region,” noting that “there is an overlap in the administrative units, but thanks to the coordination between the Federal Ministry of Planning and the Ministry of Planning in the Kurdistan Region, all these problems have been overcome .”
He pointed out that “the security committee in the governorate will provide facilities during the curfew period and for all emergency cases, medical cases, and even issues related to the city’s economy and bringing the necessary materials with complete ease .”
He pointed out that “all the displaced will be included in the census, as there is a form with the mobile teams that includes fields regarding the original residence and the previous residence, and thus all the displaced will be returned to the governorate,” stressing that “the general census will draw up the future development plans for the country.”
